I played Lurrus Cycling for constructed (set roulette) and a nice version of boros go-wide in atla limited! Avatar has been a really fun set so far
Thanks again to my friend @elgranboa.bsky.social and his sponsor Majestik Games 🤝
Next stop, RC Antwerp 🇧🇪

If you told me ater the release of MH3 that Azorius Control would be my frontrunner for a RC in 2025, I wouldn't have believed you lol

I decided not to play my trustworthy forge, because I believed that the field would be too prepared after EW !
I skipped yesterday super qualifier and spent most of my day hiking, I felt fresh and sharp for todays tournament 😎

The metagame is shifting fast after the first US RC. Storm has a pretty solid matchup spread against the top decks but really suffers from being inconsistent
The bauble tech is serviceable, although I'm not sure about the numbers!

I expected to go 0-1 drop, but my tournament went smoothly 🫡 Thanks to O_Danielakos for the clean decklist!
And congrats to @holdtheelle.bsky.social who split the finals with me in the steel-cutter mirror match🤝

I'm focused on modern these days, so I just netdecked a very stock list.
This archetype has a very strong proactive gameplan and is really not easy to attack (I beat every null rods today).
Losses were to Doomsday and Mississipi River!

The tournament structure was Duel Commander + EoE draft:
- In DC: Thrasios control, a new build created by Jules Lestienne
- In draft: UW flyers with a double spell subtheme
My prize was a revised Underground Sea 🤑

Thanks to team Grindstone for working with me on that list! And especially to @univercemtg.bsky.social who found some great techs 🤝
I beat 6 Lurrus decks (3 Mirror, 2 PO, 1 breach) and lost to Dredge and a Tinker brew

I only get to play the format a few times a year, but it's always fun!
The shell felt promising, but the list is still very rough (especially the SB) and needs tuning. I liked the Nettlecyst "aggro" pivot

I'm currently seating at #1 in the EUL national ranking for France and should get an invite for the final event 🫡

With the metagame being so combo-centric, Flare is a bit worse while FoN gets better. Tamiyo and Stock Up gives you enough card advantage to support 7 pitch spells!

If your goal is to maximize winrate, just play Vivi. But this is a good contender if your goal is to maximize fun 🫡
Kudos to Wang Haotian for designing this list. It definitely took me a few games to understand the deckbuilding decisions. It's better than the stock build

Undefeated in swiss, lost to Belcher in the semis!
I've been trying a lot of different sideboard config to beat blue decks (Murktide, Rakshasa's Bargain, stock up). W splash for Teferi felt like a solid option today 🫡

0 lander against living end. I discarded Griselbrand to hand size. That game went to turn 10+ and was super intricate 👀

The play patterns of this deck are obnoxious, but it's in a good spot right now (solid against both Phelia and NRJ).
The mandrill tech was nice, it lets you play low-resource games and mulligan smoother 🐒
Thanks to team Grindstone for the build 🤝🪨

I really like this deck in the current metagame! It's solid against Phelia and Energy, while still having game against more fringe decks thanks to fast clock and sideboard thoughtseize 🫡

Deck is still doing something very powerful (last time I tried it was with bauble) and is solid against reanimator !
Great results recently, hopefully I can also do well in LCQ :)

This deck is both incredibly strong and very demanding. I feel like I could have played a lot tighter basically every round 😅
Thanks to my friends from the GrindStone for the decklist, especially Univerce 🤝

The shell felt powerful, but the sideboard was mediocre. This deck is very good at exploiting the lack of GY hate, altough I'm still not sure if it's better than Goryo!

The Grixis list felt slightly better overall. The main issue with the archetype is that it tends to get less functional after sideboarding. TS is a lot better than spell pierce in that regard !

Undefeated in swiss, then I lost in semis to @keps94.bsky.social on broodscale.
Deck is still impressive and should probably be taken more seriously !

Despite being slightly clunky, this deck is doing something quite powerful. I was skeptical at first, but I've been doing surprisingly well (68% WR across 5 challenges). It's also very fun, so I'd definitely recommend it 👁️!
