S3 speculation but I wonder if Kemen eventually gets a ring because Sauron sees too much of his past self in him. They literally have that Middle Management vibe trying to punch up above their weight class 😂

A new Rob interview from a week ago for his new movie. Looking forward to seeing it one day. There was quick tidbit about his shooting schedule for #TheRingsOfPower S3. Assuming that’s the end point for everyone as well, and the 4/30 start is true, it would be 8 months.

One of the biggest joys recently is seeing my kid learn to read. We just went to the library and got him some new books. One of the books is called Dog Man, which is basically if Huan the Hound had to deal with Telvido’s shenanigans constantly 😂

Decided to treat myself and purchase the DVD copy of #TheHoldovers. One of my favorite movies from 2023. Highly recommend to everyone. The only thing better than watching this movie on an old DVD player is watching it on VHS 😅. Matches well with the old school aesthetics they’re going for.

SDCC Day 2 means more reminiscing about last year’s #TheRingsOfPower event. Since I couldn’t do the meet/greet, I went there to take pictures of costumes and maybe see the cast from afar. I was not expecting to see Bear and the showrunners just casually walking around with the normies like me 😅. 1/3

Remembering last year’s #TheRingsOfPower offsite TORN event. In order to meet/greet the cast, you needed to register in person days before, which I did not have time to do. Luckily once the event was over, Ismael suddenly came up to us behind the line and asked if anyone wanted a selfie. My hand 🙋‍♂️

Started reading The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald, and the opening intro reminds me of the Southland plot in S1 of #TheRingsOfPower

The biggest is obviously the tunnels, but the mention of rats brings to mind what Theo thought was under the floorboards.
Introduction A story about goblins is bound to be strange. But when the goblins are doing evil deeds underground, in a network of tunnels far beneath a mountain, the strangeness darkens. It’s bad enough to imagine that goblins—usually described as ugly small folk who cause trouble for regular human beings—might jump out at you as you walk through the woods. But imagining that they grabbed you in a pitch black tunnel burrowed under massive tons of rock, a tunnel that winds every which way, always threatening to cave in or lead you to dead ends—well, that’s a great deal worse. In the world of The Princess and the Goblin, goblins inhabit the landscape rather the way rats do in our world: we know they’re there, we catch a glimpse of them sometimes, but we don’t really like to think about them.

A parody poster called Lord Of The Tree Rings. There is brown circular tree ring on the top center with the captions “The Legend Lives”. It lists some cool facts about tree rings including: 1) Each year a tree adds a new ring of wood to its trunk. 2) The growing part of the tree is just beneath the bark. 3) Tree rings give a history lesson about past climates. 4) Fire scars in growth rings can date past forest fires. 5) An annual tree ring is actually two rings, light colored springwood and dark colored summer wood.
