i’m happy it at least got narrative an performance. konatsu kato getting some recognition was a genuine surprise i thought if anyone was going to get it from this it would’ve been suzie yeung

i think before the midway point i kinda felt like i saw all the game was going to offer but i think they start doing really unique and innovative stuff with the terrain destruction and manipulation i think thats the most memorable part of it to me.

okay i thought i was insane i thought that was a huge snub for that and soundtrack.

only noms before were norman reedus and mads mikkelson (who won, and isn’t in the sequel). I’d personally put Luca Marinelli in there, but I’m guessing Troy Baker was widely believed to be the strongest performance in the game and chose to nominate him for Indiana Jones instead.

oh yeah but i’d say he’s basically an actor and he’s actually putting on a genuine performance compared to the other two which are largely just line reading. they’re not bad but it’s certainly distracting sometimes.

funnily enough two of them are and you can seriously tell. one of them doesn’t speak too much in the first two episodes but it gave me whiplash whenever i heard either of them.

you’re probably right but them doing small things like nerfing cresselia and aegislash’s base stats between gens, excluding shedinja in gen 9 due to terastal and overall gutting stall a little in gen 9 tells me they at least try to consider it.

i think at some point it becomes a logistical nightmare to try and have every single existing pokemon in every single game. trying to have them available somewhere and try to balance the combat around it is no easy feat.

it’s definitely not anywhere near as bad as people talk about it but it’s very clear that the routes/open world was kinda a dud for a solid chunk of its audience

i tried to buy tickets for it but didn’t realize that for the venue i was looking for i was supposed to use the venue website and not ticketmaster and kinda got screwed #ohwell

also the soundtrack sure isn’t yoko shimomura but it’s great in its own way i love how horn-focused it is
