I successfully defended my dissertation on Monday. So grateful for my committee (John McLaughlin, Judith Newman, Ting Guo) for their care in stewarding me through the process and, along with the external examiners(Corrie Carvalho, Reid Locklin), for their generous, thoughtful questions & comments.

There is always so much work to be done, and then there is my cat, begging to go outside to play. Guess who won.

After a busy SBL, I'm cat-sitting for a friend, and one of their cats has already attached themselves to me. Holiday bliss.

One month 'til we're reunited (though I'm pretty sure someone else has her heart now). #catsofbsky

Hopefully I will be over this cold and will have my voice back next weekend! Looking forward to catching up with friends and colleagues.
