There's never accounting for taste. I've seen at least one person (adult) unsarcastically laud the story of Sonic Forces before.

And while I can't personally speak for MGS 5, I remember hearing from others in the circles I hover around that they weren't keen on it. Whether that was story related, gameplay related, or both, I can't recall.

I love BOTW for a lot of reasons (as we've discussed before), but "complex storytelling"? I don't know, I don't see anything like that when I view it. I wouldn't consider that nor the story itself to be complex. Not remotely. "A unique way to tell stories"? I guess Dark Souls never happened.

Well.
