I dont think its helpful to anyone to assume someone is setting you up to for a gotcha when they ask a genuine question. You have an opportunity to educate people about solutions to problems you face. If that's not what you want then what are you commenting for?

The Gamechangers list exists as a system where people can easily communicate with each other about common "boogeyman" cards. It warns players that cant evaluate deck cohesion yet about cards that can change the power balance of a given game. How do new players benefit from that not existing?
September 3, 2025 at 5:24 PM
Also what is solitaire here? I don't see new players running combos (which would incentivize running counterspells) at worst it's efficient board based decks, which are countered by removal, incentivizing it.
September 3, 2025 at 4:25 PM
I don't see new players thinking about it this way. In my experience its usually something like: wow, x card won this other player the game or prevented me from winning the game. If I coule have removed that card I could have won. Proceeds to add more flexible/efficient removal option.
September 3, 2025 at 3:44 PM
How is that a bad thing?
September 3, 2025 at 2:57 PM
I'm replying to a comment talking about how newer players build decks. They're not going to run combos because their deck's centralized value plan isn't working. They're going to power the deck up until they can get their gameplan through, or u til they learn how to decentralize.
September 3, 2025 at 2:45 PM
All you can do is find a group that shares your sentiments. I don't think not seeing the 100 most popular cards is possible or even reasonable when playing against strangers.
September 3, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Wouldn't interaction become more important as deck stategies centralize around a removable focal point?
September 3, 2025 at 2:11 PM
The purpose of the ban list isnt to add variety outside of extreme cases. If you want variety why don't you just play different stuff?

Re-reading this a week later, I'm pretty sure the spirit of my father possessed me to continue the cycle of judgmental unwanted advice. Please ignore.
September 3, 2025 at 12:32 AM
That's irrelevant. You can't control what other people say or how they say it. You can only control what you choose to take away from it. Take the inherently neutral information that you can learn from, and ignore the way they chose to say it. Or ignore the comments entirely.
