That's definitely true, I didn't get into movies until the last few years so I guess I don't have a comparison. (I have to watch the Sonic movies)

Idk I saw some excellent movies this year in theatres. Superman, Frankenstein, Sinners, Chainsaw Man and One Battle After Another were all excellent. There's definitely stuff although they don't sell tix like they used to.

I'd say Smiling Friends is probably the next Simpsons, like Rick and Morty was. Kpop Demon Hunters was the first new franchisey movie in ages. I understand you weren't too into Bananza but that felt like the Mario series going into an innovative direction for me, despite the title character.

There aren't even really memes anymore, at least not in the same way there used to be. There's a twitter/tiktok main character, and that's about it.

Theatres are also like, dead. Every company's answering machine is just AI now. ..

Crossworlds 1 is amazing but a bit visually drab and cluttered, plus the DLC characters lacking voices is an issue. I imagine they'll fix that next time.

Getting some pretty poor performance at times but otherwise it's scratching that Dead Space itch without feeling derivative. Interesting story so far
