If it weren’t evidently true that he was acting self-defence because of the video evidence then it would be closer to a grey area. But to really make it a grey area you would have to have little to no witnesses.

Do you not understand how video evidence works? If it’s not on video, you have to go off lesser evidence. If you have it on fucking film, it’s not really a guessing game anymore.

If OJ murdering ppl was on video, then I would know for a fact that he’s a murderer. But since it’s not on video, I’m guessing he’s probably a murderer. It’s not rocket science. Rittenhouse is on video not committing murder but rather acting in self-defence.

There’s certainly nuance in this case, but whether or not he committed murder isn’t a grey area. It is a fact that he never committed murder. This is just based on the definition of murder. If you wanna rewrite the dictionary go ahead. Until then, you’re a liar.
