Nearly 100 people paid $30 this weekend so that I, among other people, could be paid $50 to do nothing other than create whatever kind of weird fucked-up art they want to (including nudity) while those people cheer. This is what gives me hope for the future when doom seems inevitable

(Another plus: I'm spending more time interacting with people my own age. The kids at work are awesome, but it's hard not to feel a little wistful around them. It's good to remind myself that I'm not yet over the hill and perhaps the best part of my life is still in front of me)
