That’s just strange. Pretty much every single one of their film have endings that would be called “unsatisfying” or “cold.” What makes this one any different?

Pearl Jam had Yellow Ledbetter which is one of their best songs and inexplicable didn’t make the album, but yeah there’s not a lot of great ones

It seems like UK artists take their B-sides very seriously and US artists basically put their leftover trash on theirs. UK artists also release a lot more pure singles that aren’t even on a proper album.

The best songs on Disintigration are non-singles IMO. Getting into the weeds of melancholy is kind of the point.

I just saw Pixies last month and they were fucking awesome. Not sure where you’re getting your info! They always put on a great show.

Doolittle broke my mind when it came out and inspired me to join a band and play music. As great as Disintigration is, Doolittle takes it for me.

I thought it was really solid aside from totally wimping out on the ending. My wife rewatched the Arnold version a couple weeks ago and it was horrid. Not sure why folks are nostalgic for that version (which was nothing like the book)
