The pronatalists aren't stupid. They know they can't get us to have more babies by just nudging us a little. It's going to take real muscle.
But if pregnancy is all-consuming, painful, and may happen at any time, then it's much harder to do other things with your life, too. Women's spheres narrow. And that's what they are aiming for: circumscription of women's lives. (Really all our lives.)

Yesterday, I went through 4 checkpoints for a random mtg. the dean’s suite in my building, which is also a library. Only got hassled at two of those, so winning?
