Actually, here, let me give you the side-by-side comparison. Left image: anything that's yellow used to be the GDR. Now look at the election results again.

To illustrate my point. Blue = AfD (the fascists), black and dark grey are the religious conservatives CDU and CSU (right wing adjacent). Red is the SPD (centre left) and green is Grüne (Greens). Disappointing but not surprising.

A picture says more than a thousand words and this picture says a lot when you consider that I should be getting ready to go to work right now, and am, instead, just getting ready to fly to Germany from Amsterdam.

So, my departure from Berlin is delayed by 2h (which we've been spending on the plane) because of this thick fog. The hope is that all connecting flights are also delayed (it's just as foggy in Amsterdam).

Honestly, I'm only doing what I think anyone would do but apparently that's not normal in some people's estimation, and so one of my co-students got me this gorgeous set of organic herbal teas to say thank you??? and I'm very 🥺🥺🥺🥺 about it!!!!

At the water dispenser, there's a metal ring on the bottom below the spout. My canister is short enough that it fits under the spout without issue even though it has to sit on top of the metal ring.

This is my gym water canister. It's great. It holds 2l. Now that I get to refill it for free* with cold, filtered water, I always fill it all the way up before I go home for 2 extra litres of drinking water I don't have to pay for.
