I was hoping for Critchley unless we could get someone with proven success as a HC. Out of all of the leaked finalists, there weren’t any with proven HC success, so Critch was my hope. Wishing for the best and that 2026 isn’t a sequel to 2025 when we went with a risky outside pick instead of Hack.

Matt, have you heard anything about a press conference?

I think you were the first to break this 😉

Surely we’ll hear something this week. I thought I heard there would be news before the end of the month.

I hope you’re right!

The chaos is people rampantly speculating and having national media personalities making assumptions about the state of the club based on incomplete information, a la Tom Bogert and Matt Doyle.

I think Diego needs to make a statement. There’s too much chaos in the #AllForCity bubble right now. It’s looking to me like Hack will be SD, but IDK why nothing has been announced.

The presser the club released indicates they’re negotiating with MNUFC and Wallem’s club. Feels weird for him to post this at the same time basically.

I can fathom it because he can’t stay healthy. He’s a good player, but if we can find someone who is equally good but doesn’t have his injury history, then by all means. Declining his option doesn’t mean we have to rely on Baumgartl/Hiebert as first choice CB to pair with Fall.

I expected Watts to be rostered since they squeezed him into the 4th game required to participate in the playoffs. Always sad to see players (likely) go even when it’s for the betterment of the club.

Ball Watching reported on Instagram that we’ve interviewed Will Kuntz from LA Galaxy for SD and that Bürki has been re-signed. Also that Critchley will remain with the first team, but specific role will be determined by the SD.

Klauss, Sangbin, Kessler (although I’m worried how injury prone he’s been), McSorely, and Perez.

Those are the ones I’m for extending. There are a few others I wouldn’t mind keeping, but I don’t want to bring the majority back next year when we saw what they accomplished (or didn’t) this season.

My understanding is Wallem would have to be a DP due to the transfer cost. While Klauss won’t be a DP if we extend him next year, I just don’t think Wallem has been effective enough to warrant a DP spot. I think d-mid is a better position to be spending. If he were a TAM player, sure, keep him.

Can’t wait for this season to be over. I’m tired of looking forward to games only to see them constantly play out like this. Congrats to Critchley on his second draw of the season, I guess? And it took a worldie from Célio to even get that.

We suck as much as a 12th place team away down a man using their third string keeper.

We made their third string keeper look like he should’ve started for the USMNT this afternoon.
