“Facilitate the move of academia from X to Bluesky”, ironically behind a paywall, although the message is good. And I whole heartedly agree. Twitter was amazing, and incredibly useful for making spontaneous discussions between scientists.

I have recently found liveuamap.com which has been excellent to show recent developments in #Ukraine and especially #Syria (Where things are moving a bit faster currently).

My hope for #bluesky at this point is:
1. Being able to follow #hashtags.
2. Some way to verify that certain users are specific famous people or organisations.
3. Some assurance that bots are being countered or held back as much as technically possible.

I believe it is mandatory to post one's pets when you first do a Bluesky post, so here they are.
