Besides, the initial post was about the length of Act 1, and I just wanted to add I agree with what Igor said in that regard. Apart from that, sure the game isnt perfect and some aspects could have been expanded on, but I'm still very happy overall, because we DID get a masterpiece in story-telling!

In sidequests the choices often matter. Other dialog options are mostly just for role-playing how your V talks, not meant to have much impact on the fixed main story. And tbh I'm happy the devs focused on that like they did! After all, we're looking at one of the all-time greats in that regard.

Moving the goalpost, are we? But ok. Police? Yeah that was bad, at least at launch. AI is a new topic here as well, but it did improve since launch. The sidequests are there, they're just different than in traditional sandbox RPGs (Gigs, Regina) and you can in fact also stumble into quests randomly.

That's a question of framing. IMHO, Igor doesn't come across as overly "defensive". It's the other commenters who willfully ignore what kind of strengths CP77 has, and they demand Igor acknowledge them being the "majority" which is a very dubious claim at best, and a completely nonsensical at worst.

What are you expecting? Being sneaky lets you join the Dark Brotherhood or something like that? Killing too many people triggers a Dishonored-like Rat Plague? You'd have to play a different game for that. Besides, in some quests it IS commended through dialogue if you were sneaky or openly violent.

That's pretty ridiculous. What "massive backlash" are we talking about here? CP77 received backlash for many different reasons... The structure of Act 1 being a very minor one, if at all. The story was actually one of the biggest strengths of the game since day one (unlike performance, bugs etc...)

And how many people are that exactly? People complaining that CP77 is too streamlined? Oh come on, the main story and pacing of the game is so much better than any Elder Scrolls, it's a wholly different league in that regard. Skyrim is great as well, but for other reasons. And that's a good thing!

Spot on! When I first played CP77, near the end of act 1 my thoughts were "this game is nice but, eh, its nothing groundbreaking and where even is Keanu, isn't he supposed to be in this game?" ... Then I got shot in the head and what followed was PEAK gaming! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise :D
