There will always be some of that - but if people realize the damage of what they were told/sold I prefer to show kindness and support instead of laugh, mock and deride them. Schadenfreude reminds me of the word sangfroide which is also a very important thing to have to get through 🩵

I chose not to because I still wanted a relationship with him and he wore me down to my last nerve / iota of patience all the while zeroing in on all of the buttons he knew he could press to get me to feel shitty about myself and / or get a rise out of me. Some men are worthy of blame. Not all ofc

They certainly can be, and sorry for your poor experiences. Years after the divorce a male associate of my dad who hired him, fired him for terrible behavior and lectured me for 2 hours on how he deserves to have his knee caps broken and that I should avoid him for 2-5 years for my own good.
