Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon grant Israel virtually government-wide access to their cloud and artificial intelligence technologies, enhancing data processing, decision- making and surveillance and analysis capacities.99 In October 2023, when the Israeli internal military cloud overloaded,100 Microsoft, with its Azure platform, and the Project Nimbus consortium stepped in with critical cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure.101 Their Israel-located servers ensure data sovereignty and a shield from accountability,102 under favourable contracts offering minimal restrictions or oversight.103 In July 2024, an Israeli colonel described cloud tech as a weapon in every sense of the word, citing these companies.

The Tenderfoot Tactics team has decided to remove our game from sale on Xbox in solidarity with the Palestinian-lead Boycott Divestment and Sanctions campaign, which added Xbox to their priority boycott list earlier this month. We hope that Microsoft will listen to the voices of their workers and customers and stop all business with the criminal Israeli military, which we have all watched conduct an open genocide in Gaza over the last 18 months. We hope that the broader community will join in the pressure campaign and fight for an end to occupation and apartheid in Palestine and across the world.

The Palestinian-led BDS campaign has called for a boycott of Xbox and Microsoft Games, and Bethesda is explicitly named as a target. If there is an Oblivion Remastered on its way, don't give them your money!
