Not a great look for Ant. People fairly question the coach, but consistency of effort & attention to detail also heavily depend on player leadership. The 2 guys with least consistency of effort are Ant & Julius, the leadership of the team.

I attend a lot of games & one of worst parts is watching players constantly gripe to refs despite being wrong most of the time. Refs are FAR FAR from perfect, but it's a hard job and all the player grifting & griping makes it worse.

Aggressively approaching refs should be a T regardless of intent. Shouldn't matter if a player has a good rep or not. The "contact" that got him tossed was minimal & he probably shouldn't have been tossed, but he technically did touch him which can't happen if he's not that close in 1st place.

Emotion is fine. It's been clearly understood for years though that you don't run up on a ref. The announcer said it right away. If Thompson can't abide by league decorum, he need not play in the NBA.

Seems like an easy clear line vs the alternative of being able to aggressively approach a ref based on how nice you are and your intent.

Lots of "ink" spilled on Dillingham, but to me, Shannon has been more disappointing this year. T.J. doesn't have the excuse of not being physically overmatched. It seems things would feel a lot different if T.J. were giving 75% of what he showed in summer league. What's your take on his struggles?

The "contact" Thompson made with the ref was minimal at best, but don't you think the approach was really aggressive? These guys are huge & if I had an animated 6'7" guy coming hard at me, I'd feel threatened. Do we want guys physically going towards refs being ok as long as they don't make contact?

Love you doing this unique ranking& I get it's highly debatable. I'll be interested in your thoughts on a team like the Wolves & why they're worse than teams like Cavs, 76ers, & Nugz. What is Den org sans Jokic & guy who drafted him is in MN. Doesn't lack of success matter much for Cavs and 6ers?

What do you think of his on ball D this year? He's been great off ball, but seems to have slipped guarding the ball and navigating screens.

They beat us with less last year in Target Center. The Wolves should press and hound a team missing so much ball handling, but history says they won't. They'll let the Pacers dictate the style of game and it'll be way closer than it should.

Agree on Finch. Given Mike's bluntness about wanting the ball, I wonder what he would choose if the options were start and play off Ant/Julius or come off bench and play more as the orchestrator with one of Ant/Julius resting?

Looks like they exchanged the lesser of GS and Denver' 2nd in 2026 and Clevelands 27 2nd for the Suns 2nd in 2026. Probably a good bet that Suns pick next year is in the 30s vs two in the 50s.
