Honestly the ps2/gamecube/xbox era was nuts i was looking back at water graphics back then and they had fully reflecting environments with refractions with none of todays raytracing!
Also okami is one of the best games ever made gameplay and style wise!

I pretty much used mainly photoshop and 3ds max my whole life but now I’ve moved over to krita and blender, both free, both better than the costly corpo counterparts imo

Getting better and better with every piece! shading is nice here and i love the vibrant colours. Also, big fan of the delicate see through fin like details.

2/2 if you want somthing thats screen based and portable but also connects to a pc wierlessly have a look into an ipad and an app/program called duet display. You can use it as a screen to your pc and with a yearly sub and you get all the pressure sensitivity and portability of an ipad.

1/2 If it helps I’m pretty versed in all sorts of drawing setups! For Screenless a wacom intuos 5 or something similar is great they last forever, well worth the money! If you want a screen based tablet you could go huion if your on a budget but still want that quality…

Been there! My car has the added fun of blaring a whole bunch of warning lights and sounds when i had to slam my breaks super hard like that for similar reasons, hope you’re doing okay!

just gotta make art at all, you can always polish it later. Even just look at what you didnt like and make more art with more of what you did like.
Iterate over time, dont try and be perfect out the gate👍
