Voting happens on a specific day and specific locations and requires ID in WI. Alcohol can be purchased almost 24 hours a day(depending on local laws) and ID is not always enforced. Look up our DUI stats in WI. Look up how many DUI’s you need before losing a license to drive.

What is happening now is the external expression of habituated racism that were never unlearned. It is brutal and heartbreaking and why we white people need to get off our asses and speak against the hatred. All the language used now was insanely common in the 70’s. It is not new. We must fight it.

She worked in HR at a Fortune 500 company and every single person there knew that any racism around her was not tolerated. She advocated for all employees to receive equal protections and made it happen in practice, not theory. Millennium of slavery/oppression takes a long time to undo.

My apologies for speaking so broadly. As someone who is almost 60 and has been engaged in political discussions since the age of 8 and an activist since I was 15, There has been progress. My mother was “woke” since the 40’s and never once tolerated racism or again or sexism. She fought back.
