nodding nodding. Perhaps the difference in climate as well might have an effect on them since I'm in the tropics, so even at the worst they won't get like snow or anything. Hell, we have an orchid outside that managed to weather through the hurricane last year and is blooming again

they like warmer environments and a bit of water is all that really ends up mattering. Very simple little plants who can sometimes become crawling plants on larger trees and such if the need is there for them. Kinda odd

my dad raises a lot of different types of orchids and for the most part they don't need anything special, they can even grow in a mixture of stones and charcoal for their nutrients other than water and such. Especially since their blooms don't typically last long maybe a few days, then they wilt
