There's a Singer store near us that offers classes, does repairs, and sells machines and replacement parts. Might message them to see if they could accept it. They might be able to repair and sell it, or it may be more bother than it's worth. Can't hurt to ask.

It's mine to rehome, I just need the mental bandwidth to deal with it, which is difficult to come by lately. It is pretty, but the electical wiring in both the power cable and the food pedal cable needs to be replaced completely.

Also have several bags/boxes of donations to take to the drop-off place, but there's always something else to do or inclement weather or something. At least our recycling gets picked up from a dumpster in the alley so we don't need a separate room for that. Yet.

The husband has been driving around with an antique electric sewing machine in the trunk for over a year. Took it when uncle sold his house but won't use it, have nowhere to keep it, and need to rehome it. I guess I should try to find it a home other than the trunk soon.

Ours has three fabric settings - cotton/heavy-duty, permanent press, and delicate. Temperatures are: cold-cold, tap cold, cool, warm, and hot. The hot water mixing valve broke years ago, so everything gets washed in tap cold.

I had to google to see if there is a "Dr. Doom", but even before I did, I loved this. Thanks for thinking of me! I will never not love a Moomin. <3

There was likewise not a vast selection to choose from at the two music stores I could walk to from home at the time.

My first CD player was in 1986 - I got a "rack stereo" for 8th grade graduation. The first CDs I bought for it were: A-ha "Scoundrel Days", OMD "The Pacific Age", and Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms".

Yes, music related. During the '90s and pretty much just local music scene related. Presumably of a mainly punk aesthetic.

We have a binful of zines that K helped publish back in the day buried in our storage unit. I wonder how well they have held up all these years...
