My 2007 Toyota minivan is just fine thankyouverymuch. Not in the rat race, not keeping up with the Joneses, just over here checking books out from the library and trying to find decent cashmere at the thrift shop.
I learned while getting fingerprinted down at the police station (for all the crimes I'm always doing, obvi) that it's true: you CAN burn and/or sand off your fingerprints, but if you do, then they take your toe prints and if you've removed those as well then... THEY TAKE YOUR EAR PRINTS.

A Cooper's Hawk just flew *right* past me - about 10 feet away - at eye level. The dog was unimpressed, but I was gobsmacked.

I graduated from high school 30+ years ago (side note: how has it been 30 years?!!) and I'm still vaguely annoyed that they never got us our yearbooks in time to actually sign them at the end of each school year.
