When the War ended, it was a relief at first but it left this big hole in all of them. Nothing will ever be like it was before. “Please stay,” she whispered against Emmeline’s shoulder, tugging her head in the crock of her neck.

“I miss them too, you know?” Emmeline said and drew small circles on Mary’s shoulder. “How is Remus doing?”

When Emmeline didn’t answer, she looked up seeing her biting her lips. “He’s trying.”

“What are you looking at?” Emmeline asked, entering the room after being away for hours. Mary sighed exhausted and showed her the photos. “Oh,” her girlfriend breathed through and sat down next to her.

Marlene made fun of Lily for giving in to James’ charm, and Dorcas and Remus were getting dragged out by their two loves. It was all so much fun and so real.

All the couples were still so fresh or still secret but so obvious looking at the photos now. Mary remembered how happy she was that Emmeline was there and they were glued together the whole trip.

Marlene and Sirius were amazed by it and they took so many photos. She still had them all, from her best friends Marlene and Lily, and with the four boys.
