CBO is a nonpartisan, neutral org. Its director, Phill Swagel, worked in the GWBush administration and was appointed by Republican lawmakers to his current post. For many reasons, it's laughable that he or his professional colleagues would be cooking the books to help Democrats.
COLLINS: Republicans like Ron Johnson and Rand Paul say the bill will add to the deficit. Is the White House's position that those Republicans are blatantly wrong?

Judge Duggan has filed a motion to dismiss based on judicial immunity. Overseeing/keeping order in her courtroom is part of her official duties. A really interesting aspect is that immunity law forecloses examination of subjective motive, so it's irrelevant wh she wanted the feds not to arrest Ruiz.
