It's truly a beautiful place … makes you wonder what it looked like a century ago before nearly all the water was gone. I got this photo of an alkaline meadow when I was there earlier this month.

BIG news: Forest Service says in 60 days it will publish the Draft Record of Decision for the Resolution Copper mine.

This is the mine the San Carlos Apache and environmentalists have fought for decades. The mine would destroy the sacred site of Oak Flat. It’s also the subject of 3 federal lawsuits
