I've substituted scrolling through the technology section of Google News and looking at all the neat toys I can't afford.

I was about to comment that thumb drives are cheap, but realized that your Sun machines probably predate USB. How about RS-232 serial port? Maybe you can use a USB-to-RS232 converter and uucp, or something like that.
