I can think of a few legitimate uses and even for those, with actual application it doesn't work that great. Its probably fine for using it to sort through thousands of pages of data or something, but a real person should still be double checking that. And is that worth the environmental impact?

Oh yeah fuck no using it to make art is garbage and it's literally plagiarizing real artists to generate that content, and people just using it generally instead of thinking. Outsourcing YOUR OWN MIND to a machine is absolutely wild behavior

I'll be honest when it first became a thing I used it thinking it would help me with my job (with diagnostics), took me exactly 2 hours to realize it was a huge waste of time and it was faster to just trouble shoot with my brain. never used it again. So far my brain has not turned to mush (maybe)

People SO underestimate caffeine because its normalized in our culture. If you abstain for long enough, when you have it again, that shit literally feels like cocaine, euphoric even

yea it still sneaks up on me too sometimes. Especially when you're alone just echoing yourself in your head. At least when you're drunk its easier to distract yourself, too, at least for me. I know that's not great advice, but if it makes it easier to get through then that's gotta count for somethin
