Bit of an aside, but using the “War Of The Worlds” broadcast as an example of ufo mass hysteria is misleading; there was literally no panic, and almost no one was listening. Print media ran with the story to discredit radio as a news source. Synopsis of NPR Radiolab episode about it below. #ufosky
