I don't get the Xorg rollback. If the code is that cooked, why bother reverting? Just kill the repo. Delete it. We are wasting time trying to save a zombie.

While at it, just add a use #Wayland sticker too.

Busy day today doing personal commitments, but not busy enough for some plastic war mayhem with Army Men RTS :)

Of all the RTS games I could've picked for a "quick" pre-sleep match (Blizzard, C&C, AoE), I specifically chose Empire Earth 2.

Big mistake.

2 hours later, the game is finally done and I am incredibly late for bed.

Criticizing #Emiru for neutrality is unfair. While I see reports of #ICE chaos and its other side, I admit I’m not well-versed in US politics. I’m vocal in #PHPolitics but respect abstainers. #Politics eventually impacts everyone, but forced engagement is wrong. Everyone has their own time to speak.

Just shipped a breakdown of my latest experiment: a hand-tracking web-game built from scratch.

Stack:
- MediaPipe Hands (Tracking)
- React Three Fiber (Rendering)
- Rapier (Physics)
- Vite (Build)

It would be cool if for some miraculous circumstances, #gog is able to acquire or have rights to republish #westwood #dune RTS games. Unfortunately, it's close to impossible maybe... #retrogaming #retro #retrocomputing #oldschool

Can't believe the Shotbolt lawsuit against Valve is moving forward. It completely ignores the reality of the market. The argument about cross-platform DLC is weak; that standard exists everywhere, not just on Steam. Feels like a total misunderstanding of the industry. #Valve #Monopoly #Gaming

Back in 2013, WebSockets were the "new" thing. I spent so much time building PHP polling fallbacks for browsers like IE9. This screenshot of my Windows 7 desktop with four browsers open for testing is peak old-school dev life. #BringsBack #Developer #RetroComputing #PHP #WebDevelopment

#Throwback to my #Linux #Ricing in 2014 with #KDE4.

Running on a SiS Mirage 3 iGPU was a nightmare but is still possible. Driver was available on some obsure site (now someone uploaded it on Github). Certainly, brings back memories.

I have been seeing claims that junkware is okay because #Windows and its upgrade are free. Total cope. The Lenovo Legion Go S is $100 cheaper with #SteamOS for the same hardware. You paid for that license at retail. Microsoft is just double dipping with ads and tracking. #Windows11 #PCMR #Linux

The world building in #Albion is fascinating even from its time. The Iskai's plant-based technology, culture and traditions made them feel truly alien.

Walking into Jirinaar for the first time remains one of my favorite moments in gaming.

Playing Grand Theft Auto III: Vice City on PS2... it's really a technical marvel how Rockstar was able to pull this off :)

It's good to see that my take about #CloudGaming a year ago is echoing the same opinion majority of people have.

Last year, I wrote an article regarding my experience using #GeForceNow and I criticized for the hour caps (and internet dependencies) and for that it is not worth it.

Ran into the "Graphics device not available" error in StarCraft II today.

My Windows setup is multi-GPU, and the old engine just couldn't handle it. To fix, I borrowed a trick from the Linux community: DXVK.

The entitlement in the #TailwindCSS PR drama is wild. Adam’s refusal to merge the llms.txt file is completely justifiable given the context. If you want it that bad, just fork it or host your own file.

#2026 isn't just about more AI.

it's also about limits.

The RAM shortage will humble Big Tech, AI scams will force "zero trust," and blue-collar trade jobs will out-value entry-level coding.

Clair Obscur is your 2025 #GOTY! Well deserved, #SandfallInteractive.

It’s ironic thinking back on #SquareEnix saying turn-based RPGs have no market. First #BG3, now #Expedition33 proving them completely wrong.

The players have spoken.

I finally did it!

I've been linking my blog posts here recently to get more readers, but mostly because I wanted to integrate Mastodon directly into my site as my comment engine.

The system is now live. Replies to this post will appear on my blog!

The backlash against Larian for using AI is disappointing. Not every AI implementation is "slop." Using tools to speed up data search or workflows is just smart engineering, not laziness. Context matters.

We all know 16GB is the new bottleneck. From the "Electron Tax" to unoptimized games, 32GB is the necessary baseline for 2026.

I wrote a deep dive on the technical drivers behind this shift and where PWAs fit in.

Rothschild’s lawyers got caught using #AI to generate a legal brief against #Valve. The result? 13+ fake cases and fabricated quotes from judges.

Valve exposed the hallucinations in a filing, and the troll's lawyers are now facing potential sanctions (and humiliation).
