Couldn’t agree more. My recently published novel envisions one scenario of what the world may look like in your lifetime (probably not mine).

It will eventually cool back down. Just not in our lifetime. See the end of the article - “We need to focus now on limiting ongoing warming. That the Earth will naturally cool back down is not going to happen fast enough to help us out.”

Unfortunately there is no mechanism to recall a senator (or congressman). Only remedy is expulsion by a 2/3 vote of the senate. Hell will freeze over first

To answer your question, I have always wanted to write fiction but life (work, kids, etc) was always in the way so to speak. I’m now semi-retired and finally have the time. I am also passionate about addressing climate change, and wanted to write something that might be a wake up call. Tall order.

Unfortunately it’s only republicans who are no longer in government. Other than Marjorie Taylor Greene (she of “Jewish space lasers” and “they control the weather” notoriety) and maybe Lisa Murkowski, the rest are sycophants and don’t criticise no matter how outrageous his speech or actions are.

Can’t really forget the majority of those Americans who voted that elected him. Pretty sure they had something to do with it
