Amen. Evidenced by the opinion section of the NYT today. The contributors must be unhappy with the inane headlines slapped on their work?

A nice extension of the global Popular University idea arising out of the Palestinian solidarity movement

I haven't heard anything about an intention to release all these people in CECOT to Venezuela, so the implication the administration apparently wishes to convey is that they have gone down for a life sentence--without a trial. This is too monstrous almost even to contemplate.

I haven't heard of any protests around this. Have to scroll down in the Times to find the story. I'm ashamed to be part of a society that, so far, is tolerating this. Please keep sharing these people's stories.

I was alarmed by the ICE clowns’ threat to arrest his US-citizen wife for getting in their way. Would be good to hear about their practice of doing that (or causing the police to do that)

Why do you think they didn’t rely on “endorse or espouse” terrorism? Perhaps didn’t want to find out it’s unconstitutional as independent advocacy under the Holder v. Humanitarian Law Project scheme? I would like to believe they’re flailing here rather than strategic!

Thank you for taking the time to articulate this for all of us (I don’t know how you find the time). I am not exaggerating that you are the only credible source of this sort of clear-eyed faith in the system I am hearing. Especially in the immigration context, where the vibes are grim.

Five weeks, after however many years in the face of the immigration system giving the lie to our fundamental values! Hold fast please—your steadfast pragmatic faith in the law is just about my only source of hope these days.

I don't think it was intended, because the tone is off, but I hear the "endeavor to try" line as a reference to Bart Simpson's "I can't promise I'll try, but I'll try to try": getyarn.io/yarn-clip/77...
