I wasn’t aware there’s work going on there! NCC could lean into any disruption and install an obstacle course? Run some concessions out of the scaffolding?

Maybe I’ll drop them a line then. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, this is just the Apple podcast app. So unclear (to me, anyway) whether CBC has any control over the ads.

I’m only slightly more concerned about the breathing, drinking, and living environment…

Oh yes, can’t impede O&G from lying to us: they may lose a couple million in profits! 🙄

Curious how these sidewalks are doing now… bsky.app/profile/wvan...
Just noticed these lamp posts. Assume it’s #OttCity’s decision, but clear NCC’s standards and lamps—presumably part of the canal project?

Anyway, no idea what we’re doing installing these in the middle of the sidewalk in the year of our Lord 2025 🤦‍♂️ #OttWalk #OttRoll

I personally feel the metric should be effective width: it matters little that edge-to-edge it’s 1.8 or 2 m if you can only use 1 m of it. Cars can handle a much steeper grade than we make approaches—and vehicle use of sidewalks is typically so seldom that our standard accommodation makes no sense.
