But I don't think that would be satisfying. We are not infinite beings. It's more pleasurable to have a game with clear rules and boundaries while gesturing at a larger world outside the game. The moon in this screenshot looks awesome, but I don't need to go to it.

The promise of an AI video game is one that never ends, where you can go anywhere, do anything, interact with anyone. The systems of the game that are limited by human effort are no longer limited.
