My mind was blown by how incredibly well shot The First Omen was. The writing is competent at best, but it looks spectacular.

But I don't think that would be satisfying. We are not infinite beings. It's more pleasurable to have a game with clear rules and boundaries while gesturing at a larger world outside the game. The moon in this screenshot looks awesome, but I don't need to go to it.

The promise of an AI video game is one that never ends, where you can go anywhere, do anything, interact with anyone. The systems of the game that are limited by human effort are no longer limited.

He would throw a knife at me and after he missed, while his arm was still extended, I chop it off a the shoulder with a machete and beat him to death with it. Needless to say, I was asked by the head of the studio, Larry Gordon to come to his office. And he said 'what the fuck is the matter with you? DO you want to make money with this movie or an x-rated movie?'
