Piper picked up kennel cough at the borders while we were in Maine (she was up to date on her shots, thankfully). She is feeling much better now that her antibiotics are all done and back to her chaos gremlin responsibilities. Piper thanks you for your well-wishes!

Happy new book Tuesday. It's been a crazy, stressful day but at least I have books.
Also, we have a kitten living in our barn. Jonny is gently trying to lure her inside so we don't have to worry about her getting hurt or running into the coyotes.

I asked some friends for their favorite national parks a few days ago so I could practice my painting. I started the first one last night and so far I'm pretty happy with the progress. Hopefully I'll have time to finish it up tonight.

For Valentine's Day, I got to visit the most romantic place possible, the bookstore. Picked up a few new titles as well as this super cute blind date with a book package. Also, got to add in a trip to the plant store and add a new hanging plant for my kitchen assortment. <3.

I didn't really like how tonight's painting turned out, but yesterday's is growing on me. Just need to remind myself that learning any new art style is a marathon and not a sprint.
