It's easy to fulfil their promises then there was nothing of substance. As for Starmer's pledges during his leadership bid and most of Labour's left-wing policies, they've U-turned on them all.

What are you talking about? Plaid is nothing like Reform, except perhaps the nationalism which is not a good part of either. What makes Plaid good is standing up for minorities and being left-wing, unlike Labour and Reform.

The working class is anyone who makes their money through working, rather than owning. It existed back then and still exists now.

How is a country the most local level possible?
October 18, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Please elaborate cos as a Brit this is an insane comparison. Labour is comparable to the Democrats, Reform to Republicans and Greens to the Dem left, with Zack being like Mamdani.

Is this graph made by you or is it from somewhere else? I know its made from BES data but I can't find reports on the data.

Maybe you ought to consider that not everyone feels obligated to vote for a specific party, and if one party starts opposing them, they will take their vote away.

12% for Greens is a 2% increase, not decrease.

A blob of blurry colours?

More like 33% because I'm not giving credence to the Tory voters either. Even then, I'd want to know what reasons they give for voting Lib Dem and Labour since the former has a broad coalition of voters and the latter's policies aren't much better than Reform or Tory ATM.

I don't think there's any society without some portion of people with bigoted views, but what you can do is reduce that group, stop people joining it and then stop those who stay be afraid of espousing them to promote them and make other people's lives miserable.

There definitely has been a rise in open hatred recently and I think a realistic sign of a better society is when people are socialised to be anti-racist from birth; existing racists who can be swayed are swayed, and the unwavering racists are too scared to be open about it.

Wrong text silly

I don't know if I'd trust anything from a Dan Hodges Daily Mail piece, but IIRC I've seen similar reports about cabinet members from more reputable sources so I'll read it and imagine it being true cos it's funny!

Which means that a demographic voting Labour or Lib Dem a lot indicates they tend to be left-wing. Which is what Owen is saying and also suggests they could be moved over to an actual leftist party in the future. So it's still a good sign.
September 7, 2025 at 12:58 PM
A lot of people are pointing out that Labour isn't exactly 'left-of-centre' anymore but I've seen a lot of polling on social attitudes broken down by party, and most Labour (and Lib Dem) voters remain generally progressive even if the party isn't.

Now Zack Polanski's leader of the Greens - an openly pro-trans leader of a pro-trans party who's very good with media - I'm hoping to see previous supporters join an actually good party for once.

Same for Point 4
September 2, 2025 at 3:10 PM
Parts 1 and 2 are nothing-burgers in the scale of things with that amount of money. 3 I absolutely don't want and it's only appealing to gammons who shouldn't be voting Labour.
September 2, 2025 at 3:09 PM
So the voters who are generally anti-immigration believe Labour is making the rules looser and only Labour and Lib Dem voters, who generally aren't obsessed with immigration, think its getting stricter. So no one was appeased by rights getting cut.

The problem here is the framing. "Greens need to join Corbyn"; Zack is very vocal about wanting to ally, whereas Corbyn and Sultana aren't as much. Besides, how can they ally when they don't have a party yet?

damn a lot was correct

The UK reddit mods are terrible, hence why the sub is full of fascist hate. Daily Mail articles run amock there.

What about this suggests it's revenge on Corbyn?
