This, I hate the apparent new trend of going 'what... game is abandoned by devs, no new free xontent!' for a fully fleshed out full release game that fixed all biggest bugs and thus one can say 'game is finished'

This happens so much, with so much stuff, especially well, as you said, anime or videogames, or movies. Where loud people seem able to convince entire crowds to think X is bad, with no one ever doubting it.

People seem to not consider how hard or what it might mean to 'fight back' in this situation. Of course, we never know, perhaps they agree on the 'purge', but there hasn't been a sign of this in the past so unlikely.

This, I hate how so many people get mad at Itch.io like they are happy to do this, and don't seem to figure 'hey, if Steam had to fold, what chances Itch.io had to fight this'. Or 'ok, they fight back, how should they handle losing major payment processors?'. Not saying what happened is good though.

This, they already want to do this, they just need an excuse, so they really were itching for someone to give them an excuse to do this. Which is no excuse and is absolutely terrible. Reversing this will eb hard, especially due to this being nsfw things. Which... tend to be looked down upon.

I agree, it's weird when people act like something is objectionably wrong simply because it is not aimed at them, people seem to forget that A) just because it is different doesn't mean is bad, and b) not everything is for everyone.

Sounds about right. Same with corporations. Want to know why they do what they do, what secret agenda they have?, it's simple, profit line must go up, as close to 90 degrees it can, always. Something is a hit, but doesn't get as high results as they expected?, they will still complain about it.
