wwx would go to incredible lengths to stand up for anyone, not just for lwj. it is selfish of lwj to even think of binding someone like wwx to himself, so that he could keep such a radiant soul for himself.

Consider, if you will, modern Wei Wuxian crocheting. He needed something to keep his hands busy when in like meeting situations so after some experimentation he found that crochet hit just the right notes to keep his hands busy but allow him to pay attention still.
