One of the things that I like about biking around Chapel Hill is the cute little traffic signs that pop up from time to time.

This is Chapel Hill’s estimate of the cost of damage from flooding earlier this summer. It’s not clear if the cost for Greenways includes the planned armoring against future floods. Seems like ~$6M is going to be a hard nut for us to crack. We better get used to not using the damaged sections. 😱

Mother’s Day flowers at the CH Farmers Market.

It's a fun quiz, and I love my Dahon Mariner, but that's not what I am. I'm more of a Dutch city e-bike kind of guy....

I was loading groceries on my bike when an older woman asked me how I liked it. As conversations with me tend to go, that led to me plugging e-bikes. My new friend’s face lit up when I told her about the E-bike Lending Library. What a resource it is!

Arg, I was expecting a graphic when I posted that URL and didn’t get one. So, here’s the nice poster for the program.

A small kvetch: it would be so nice if the Town got on here and made its own announcements. It would have a lot more reach than I do!

But maybe I should have had more coffee so I would remember to post the picture. 😳

Chapel Hill town staff will be holding a review of our draft Vision Zero plan on March 25. It will be interesting to see if there's anything in it about how the town will engage with NC DOT to address issues on state-owned roads. It will be quite a gap if there's nothing.

The final stretch of multiuse path along Fordham Blvd at University Place in Chapel Hill is now completely open. I was soooo excited to find it this morning!

And at the half-way point. I couldn’t cycle quickly and breath through my Allbirds wool mask, so I tried my buff instead. It was chilly, but I could maintain a good (and warm) pace.

Well, maybe I’ll see if I can add something intelligent to the conversation. First up, setting out for my usual long Sunday ride. With wind chill, it was an estimated 19 degrees F.
