Reflecting on the early 2025 fires in Altadena, We are inspired by the community's resilience and unity in rebuilding. This spirit parallels the struggles in our criminal justice system, where the wrongfully accused also seek justice. We must work together.

California's death penalty is inhumane,and raciallybiase.Shujaa Graham, an innocent man framed for murder, highlights this injustice. Despite making up 6.5% of the population, over a third of death row inmates are Black. We urge @cagovernor @GavinNewsom to grant clemency to all on death row.
June 25, 2025 at 9:53 PM
California has the largest death row in the U.S. The death penalty has no place in any
society that values fairness, justice, and human rights. We call on @cagovernor
@GavinNewsom to #CommuteTheRow #UniversalClemencyNow #ConfrontRacism
#deathpenalty

This Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom, but we must also remember the ongoing fight for justice. The death penalty still hurts people of color the most.
Let’s honor what is right by standing up against injustice. Together, we can create real change and ensure true freedom for all.
