WTI’s Amphibian Recovery Project hosted the Munnar Frog Assembly 2025 (1-2 Nov) at Eravikulam National Park, bringing together over 25 students & researchers from #Kerala and neighbouring states.

On 28 Feb 2025, two orphaned #AsiaticBlackBear cubs were rescued & admitted to CWRC, #Assam. After months of care, they were moved to Dehing Patkai NP by Assam Forest Department, WTI & its partner @ifawglobal.bsky.social
for rehabilitation with efforts underway to send them #BackToTheWild

A #poacher was arrested by Panbari Police in #Assam's Chirang district during a raid based on intelligence provided by #WTI. Authorities seized 3 tiger canines, 10 tiger claws, & 144 pieces of tiger bones, and an investigation into the case is ongoing to uncover further linkages.

A Chinese #pangolin was rescued & released back into the wild through a joint effort by the Senapati Forest Department and the Sadim Phukri Village Authority in #Manipur, showcasing the impact of community-led wildlife protection.

Eight blue-throated barbet chicks were rescued & admitted to WTI's Mobile Veterinary Service Unit in Eastern #Assam yesterday.

These fledglings had fallen from their nest due to strong winds and are currently under our care. Once grown, they'll be released #backtothewild

An elephant calf showing signs of tongue swelling and incoordination was spotted in the Lanka Range of the Nagaon Forest Division #Assam. The Forest Department & IFAW-WTI team are providing supportive care. Currently, the calf is active and under close observation.

An #elephant calf, estimated to be 18-24 months old, was admitted to the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) after it was found alone and distressed near an agricultural land in Assam’s Orang Tiger Reserve.
