Puts on his "well acktually" glasses and points out that in Plato's Symposium, Socrates explains that the search for truth is fundamentally an erotic search. It's erotic love which takes us outside of ourselves and forces us to pursue. So, seen in that light, this is EXACTLY what a Symposium is for.
