Great turnout to the W: Young Professionals pumpkin carving/painting event!

Two years ago I had decided to get more involved w/ W and it was the pumpkin carving event that introduced me to the amazing people I know now! Such a full circle moment to now be on the committee that planned the event 🎃

Today I went to Topeka & visited the KS State Capitol for the signing of the Kansas Community Health Worker Symposium Day proclamation by Governor Laura Kelly. The weather was absolutely beautiful & it was wonderful connecting w/ KS CHW Coalition members, supporters & allies from across the state.

Spent a lovely evening learning how to do flat peyote stitch from local beadworker Michelle Conine. Thanks to the WSU Indigenous Student Collective for hosting these classes and sharing this craft! Real talk, this is hard! But I love learning new things! ☘️

Great turnout to the Downtown Wichita Action Play Kickoff event at Wave. I appreciated the opportunity to provide input in the future of our city. ❤️

I highly encourage everyone to pay attention to what is happening locally and show up whenever you can. Your input is valuable!

Great turnout to the W Young Professionals Speed Networking event tonight! It's so fun being part of the planning committee for these events and seeing everyone having a great time. 🫶🏻

Today I got the opportunity to attend the Wichita Chamber of Commerce Chairs lunch. It was a great opportunity to connect with community leaders and hear about all of the excitement and momentum to continue to make Wichita an awesome place to call home!

Today we had our last team meeting for the year. We got the wonderful experience of having lunch at NICHE. In the afternoon we did a team service activity at Operation Holiday. I feel so grateful to be part of such an incredible team at WSU CEI! 💙

Tonight I attended the WSU Indigenous Student Collective applique beadwork class taught by local bead worker, Michelle Conine. Such a wonderful experience learning about this beautiful art form in honor of Native American Heritage Month.

I cried. 💚

What a wonderful evening spent at the WSU PPMC Women in Public Service Annual Event. We learned about how period poverty can really impact young women & their success in school at a young age & ended the night putting together personal care packages. 💙
