This year, at over 60 years old, I asked each of my parents when they decided it was time to have kids (I'm oldest). Both said that we didn't plan it & confirmed the old fashioned way w a rabbit (they were working students) that dad took to lab where he worked. Good ole days😒

My boss hired a guy from TN & I looked him up online before he started.

40yrs ago my late uncle, non practicing Jew, didn't get tenure at UVA. In 2010 I was on campus chatting w his former colleague who had tenure.
Out of the blue he sez my uncle was denied cuz he was a Jew. My uncle always said no tenure cuz of a difference of philosophy & I though it was academic 🤦🏻
