Well the ritual design in the book has you burn it with your specific desire written on it. The purpose being it takes the petition out of this reality and into the otherworld.

OMG thank you so much! The spirits are there to be conjured at the witches will. Reading the stories themselves to understand why they exist, what they are, and how to work them is the relationship building. I hope that helps and I can't wait to hear about your successes with them!

It's mostly just salty with a firm but bursting texture when you bite into it

The WQ is the nonphysical, the desire, the liminal space, the keeper of the otherworld, that essence of magic. They are two sides of the same coin. Not so much gendered as much as expressions of duality with one being the physical "checkpoint" and the other being the ecstatic experience of energy.

Hi there! I'd be happy to share my concept of this in my craft. I work with the Witch's Devil/father and Witch Queen/mother, but I don't see them as much as gendered as as much as representatives of physical and non-physical. The WD is the gatekeeper, the tangible, the concrete, the physical plane.

There's a great book by Roger J Horne called the witches Devil that I would definitely recommend for further reading on this.

I know that might be a silly metaphor, but I see it more so like it's less Christianized and more so a spirit of gnosis and individuality from the churches condemnation of sin, joy, sensuality, and sovereignty. It's embracing the taboo and leaving restrictions behind. 2/2

I love this book! the way I see it and the way I feel this book does a good job explaining is that the folk devil isn't the Christian devil as much as it's it's the reclamation of sovereignty and the spirit of that. Almost like the Bible is Wizard of Oz and traditional witchcraft is Wicked. Lol 1/2
