Yeah, but I think understanding private/public key is kind of important at this point. It’s not too different than username and password, and much more secure, since your password doesn’t belong to any server.

It is very active nowadays.
it’s the Wild West of social platforms(no rules) so its a bit scarier than places that censor speech.
I don’t like people complaining about the bitcoin folks though, it’s free speech, start your own conversation. The bitcoin folks discovered it early, kudos to them.

Amethyst is a good client on android, primal is also shaping up but it’s very new at this point, plebstr is also an option.

If I start my own relay and even if one other person is connected to it, they can broadcast my notes to the relays they are connected to. Other relays CAN refuse to accept it(highly unlikely) based on the pub key. But even then there’ll always be relays willing to accept your notes for sats.

Actually this is untrue, even if we’re on different relays you could still see my post, if it has been broadcasted to that relay.

Fiatjaf is the main dev who created the protocol, but now i guess it’s beyond his control. He can make suggestions and has influence, but people can essentially do whatever they want.
