A typical fairway. The 'green' is 'green'. The castle in the distance is castle-coloured.

1st tee at Braid Hills Golf Course Edinburgh Scotland. What colour is it? Brown. Why? Because that's the natural colour of dry grass in summer.

Yes I know, they'll use some lawncare chemicals, but hopefully not too much. Over here we're shocked at how green US courses are all year round.

We had been discussing the lack of little birds in our garden over the last month.

A few seconds later there was a puff of feathers in the air and this chap landed with a jaunty grin and a satisfied glint in his eye. Obviously once cameras appeared he came over all shy.

Starmer, ex #1 top prosecutor of England knows exactly what he dealing with.

I do hope that Scottish First Minister (like a PM) and proud baldy John Swinney's piss take of a gift for Trump is real and not AI.

Taken a couple of weeks ago in Golden Bay, New Zealand.

Google Lens suggests this may be a Sacred Kingfisher, possibly a young bird.

Is anyone able to provide a positive id? Thanks.

Her pro Europe hat during Brexit sent a strong message. Pity the BBC, Labour, and Conservative parties were much more anti-europe.

By a wide margin that high school, metal shop, tin can offcut fails the, "Is it cool enough for Sean Connery's James Bond?", test.
