But in simplest terms, two women and one is black, you’re going to see some racism in the numbers. The jay jones election and scandaleering, which has a whole other backlash, has more interesting dynamics, because there was race bait, and the boys didn’t bite.

I think it’s part of the story. Virginia had the Charlottesville Race torch march for Trump 1, those guys are still here. There’s also a backlash to anti-trans rhetoric from this admin, and an underbelly of “goon” culture, like it or not affiliated with gen z dudes, for which trans is integral.

It seems you’re missing a crucial data point on the “return of GenZ’ers to the Virginia Dem party”. You don’t mention that Sears, also a woman, is black. Part of Donald’s appeal of nostalgia is anti-immigrant and “slaves were good, actually” racism and the kids are steeped in it.
