It’s comical that they think we won’t know what they’ll say. The whole media space is now carved out for them. We get one place where we can avoid bombardment and it drives them mad. I just want to follow smart, funny and/or interesting people and bodega cats.

That’s part of the “resulting in” clause with two other outcomes (nouns w/o verbs) before it and comes at the end of the sentence started by the implied “I” and verbs. I guess you could say “destroyed packages” but that’s sounds clunkier and not as accurate to me.

That post is also not passive - the subject is an implied “I” followed by “don’t know” (helping verb & verb).

I need to see the video, but I read the quote as the opposite of how you and Vance read it. I read it as her saying her parents experienced racism but did not tell her the U.S. was a land of opportunity but not for her (avoiding discouraging her from trying to succeed).
