One of my neighbors is a Black Auntie. She got this lil boyfriend who be around and today as I was leaving I was wearing this shirt and he asked me who it was and I said “She’s from Star Trek” and he leaned back, squinted and said “Oh so you one of the Star Trek type girls huh?”

I love that James Lesure has built a career in such a way that you know when he shows up somebody bout to get found the fuck out! He showed up on Matlock and I said “oh we in trouble.” Shout out to this man.

I watched @booker.senate.gov break the filibuster record while sitting in a rehearsal session for Tarrell Alvin McCraney’s The Brothers Size. a Black man opposing this government that is actively seeking to eradicate spaces like this is no small thing.

Smack dab in the middle of a 13 hour day. Designer run for one show this morning, community event in the afternoon, final dress for the next show tonight (it’s 3 hours long), production meeting and notes to follow and SOMEHOW, I’ve managed to also read 2 plays.

I went to this really dope event tonight with 5 Black chefs each making a course of this meal. Honestly the best time I’ve had in a while!
